June 8 - One-flowered Cinquefoil
The one-flowered cinquefoils (P
otentilla uniflora
) are now blooming in the high alpine rock gardens. These bright yellow flowers have an orange spot at the base of each petal and are about an inch in diameter. The petals are very soft and velvety.
